HONG KONG, 1 days ago
Langham Hospitality Group (LHG) and Artisan Hospitality, a joint venture led by a subsidiary of Singapore’s Oxley Holdings, have announced the opening of The Langham, Kuala Lumpur in 2027. It will house 198 guestrooms and suites supported by a rich array of luxurious amenities.
Part of the Oxley Towers KLCC complex, a premium property development situated in the prestigious Golden Triangle neighbourhood of the Malaysian capital’s central business district, the hotel will occupy the upper half of a lustrous new structure that boasts stunning cityscape views and seamless access to Petronas Twin Towers, KLCC Park, numerous shopping malls and Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre.
“We are excited to collaborate with Langham Hospitality Group, a trusted name in the hospitality industry.
“Our partnership will not only introduce a spectacular hotel to Oxley Towers, but an elevated luxury brand in The Langham.
“This will strengthen the development’s position as a premier destination for business and leisure travellers,” Oxley Holdings Executive Chairman and Chief Executive Officer Mr Ching Chiat-kwong said.
The project is the second Southeast Asia hotel to be announced by LHG this year, coming hot on the heels of recently publicised plans for The Langham, Customs House, Bangkok.
The two properties will join the group’s multi-award-winning branch of The Langham in Jakarta, taking to three its footprint in a region fast shaping up to be a key source of growth.
“We look forward to bringing our flagship brand to Kuala Lumpur, a gateway city in a thriving part of the world that is also home to a notably robust travel market,” LHG Chief Executive Officer Mr Bob van den Oord said.
“The Langham, Kuala Lumpur will be a telling symbol of our vision to craft iconic, world-class hotels in Southeast Asia and beyond.”
The hotel’s amenities include a sky pool – one of the highest in the city – an outpost of The Langham, Hong Kong’s three Michelin-star Cantonese restaurant, T’ang Court; a unique destination bar; and a new branch of The Langham, London’s iconic Palm Court eatery, birthplace of the brand’s renowned afternoon tea sets.
The property will also feature health and wellness offerings via LHG’s Chuan Spa platform, which additionally encompasses a fitness centre and a wide selection of in-room offerings. – TradeArabia News Service
