India scraps 'Air Suvidha' self-declaration
NEW DELHI, November 22, 2022
India has removed the need to submit the self-declaration form called Air Suvidha for all international passengers arriving in the country.
The declaration was meant to screen passengers for Covid-19.
"All travellers should preferably be fully vaccinated as per the approved primary schedule of vaccination against Covid-19 in their country,” said the new guidelines issued by the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare.
Passengers will undergo thermal screening on arrival, and those who show Covid-19 symptoms will be shifted to an isolation facility for follow-up treatment.
