The Ritz-Carlton, Bahrain appoints new HR director

The Ritz-Carlton, Bahrain has welcomed May Lyn Ramos Gulmatico as the new director of human resources.

With over 15 years in luxury hospitality, Gulmatico will oversee all aspects of the human resource division for the five-star beachfront resort, including the resort’s award-winning Community Footprints program, Leadership Voyager program, Talent Acquisition & Management and Employee Relations strategies.

Gulmatico’s began her career with The Ritz-Carlton, Bahrain in 2003 where she worked in several leadership positions from Club Concierge to Guest Relations before transferring within the company for the pre-opening of The Ritz-Carlton, DIFC in 2010. Following this, she joined The Ritz-Carlton, Al Bustan Palace in 2011 where she served as a learning manager and director of talent acquisition and quality. In 2015, her career would lead her to Saudi Arabia to The Ritz-Carlton, Jeddah where she continued her role as director of talent acquisition and employee relations and then finally as the assistant director of Human Resources until her transfer to Bahrain this past October 2018.

In addition to her long-held career, pre-opening experiences and extensive training with The Ritz-Carlton Hotel Company, Gulmatico has received numerous awards and certificates, including the J. Willard Marriott Award of Excellence nominee, Directorate general for occupational standard and curriculum development of Travel & Tourism/Hospitality – Min. of Manpower, and the Sultanate of Oman awardee, amongst many more. - TradeArabia News Service
