New IntercityHotel opens in Riyadh

RIYADH, December 25, 2018

Leading hotel company Deutsche Hospitality is continuing to expand its Middle East portfolio with the opening of a new IntercityHotel in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.

The 82-room IntercityHotel Riyadh Malaz is a new build and has four suites, a lounge and café, a main roof-top restaurant and a roof-top swimming pool with an adjoining bar. Gym facilities are being planned to meet the needs of exercise enthusiasts.

The hotel is located in the commercial quarter of Al Malaz, with the Prince Faisal bin Fahd Stadium, Riyadh Zoo and the King Abdullah Park within close proximity.

The Middle East is one of the main focuses of Deutsche Hospitality’s expansion activities. The group is already represented on the Arabian Peninsula in the shape of the Steigenberger Hotel Business Bay in Dubai and the IntercityHotel Salalah in Oman. The opening of the IntercityHotel Riyadh Malaz in Saudi Arabia increases the brand’s presence in the region to three countries.

Two further hotels are currently at the development stage in Oman. These are the IntercityHotel Nizwa (scheduled to open in November 2019) and the IntercityHotel Muscat (to launch in the first quarter of 2020). The IntercityHotel Jaddaf Waterfront is also under construction in Dubai, and expects to receive its first guests before the end of the first quarter of 2019. - TradeArabia News Service
