NTT chooses Amadeus to fuel tech-powered business evolution

MUSCAT, December 16, 2018

National Travel and Tourism (NTT), Oman’s preferred Tours, Leisure, Travel and Freight Management consortium, has entered into a new partnership with Amadeus to power its expansion across the sultanate.

Amadeus is currently the largest distributor of leisure packages worldwide and offers travel agents the largest community of carriers and markets with electronic ticketing around the world.

The companies have signed a five-year contract which will provide NTT with access to Amadeus’s integrated distribution platform.  This includes access to the renowned Amadeus Selling Platform Connect, which is the company’s premier booking and fulfillment platform to help travel agencies deliver a superior service to every customer. It is the only fully cloud-based booking and fulfilment platform in the travel industry, and thus ideal as a mid-office solution accessible from any device.

NTT will also leverage Amadeus touchless solutions to enhance its own operational efficiencies. Featuring full compatibility with all front-office systems and seamless integration with third-party data, NTT will be able to save time and resources previously allocated to the completion of repetitive IT tasks with greater flexibility and workflow automation.

In addition, NTT will engage with Amadeus to build a scalable and powerful suite of in-house solutions that will position NTT at the cutting edge of distributing exciting travel products online, to other businesses and leading corporations in Oman.

According to NTT, the rapid adoption of digital solutions will help set the company apart from the competition. The partnership with Amadeus will ensure that its business will have the global technologies and platforms required to exceed customers’ expectations while also delivering services in the most effective and efficient way possible.

Louis Arnaud, country manager – Oman at Amadeus Gulf, said: “We are pleased to engage in such an ambitious project with NTT—one that will help them to achieve an even stronger position in Oman’s competitive travel market. This is particularly important as consumers’ preferences in Oman shift towards digital retail.”

Graham Nichols, managing director at Amadeus Gulf, added: “The Omani travel and tourism market is a promising one that holds great potential for agencies like NTT who can stay agile in how they deliver value to the customer.” - TradeArabia News Service
