Adnec to host key regional and international events in October

Abu Dhabi National Exhibitions Company (Adnec) will host more than 10 leading regional and international events across key sectors at its Abu Dhabi and Al Ain venues during the month of October, which are expected to attract thousands of visitors, exhibitors and industry professionals and leaders.
Humaid Matar Al Dhaheri, Group CEO of Adnec, said: “These events are of strategic importance since it targets key sectors identified in the Abu Dhabi Plan and Economic Vision 2030, the most prominent of which are healthcare, culture, business, and entertainment. Beginning this busy month, Adnec will host and organise the much-awaited inaugural edition of the Abu Dhabi International Boat Show 2018 (Adibs), held under the patronage of Sheikh Nahyan bin Zayed Al Nahyan, chairman of the Board of Trustees of Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan Charitable and Humanitarian Foundation, chairman of Abu Dhabi Sports Council, from October 17 to 20 at the Adnec Marina. This unique event will bring together an extensive range of luxury yachts and boats, leisure marine equipment and fishing tools. Adibs 2018 will witness wide participation from the most prominent local and international leading companies and provide visitors the perfect opportunity to learn about the UAE’s rich marine heritage and the development of the leisure marine and yacht industry in Abu Dhabi, which will contribute to enhancing UAE capital’s position and its marine tourism sector.
The second edition of the ‘Mohammed Bin Zayed Majlis for Future Generations’ will be held on October 8 and 9, under the patronage of HH Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE's Armed Forces. This year, the event will include a wide range of exciting activities, programmes, workshops and discussions, where students will present innovative experiments that highlight the role of youth in building the nation. A number of speakers, experts and local and international organisations will participate in five key areas such as science and technology, culture, media and arts, entrepreneurship and leadership, development, as well as sports and fitness.
On October 11 and 12, the fifth Rehabilitation, Long Term & Home Care Conference 2018 will be held at the Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Centre, to highlight the major developments in rehabilitation services, quality matrix and key performance indicators. The conference will bring together regional and international speakers with extensive experience and expertise in rehabilitation medicine. It is of particular significance to the UAE, as acute rehabilitation, long-term and home care services are emerging areas that have been recognised as crucial to the country’s healthcare goals.
Investors and entrepreneurs will come together at the Abu Dhabi Exhibition Centre on October 17 and 18 for the International Franchise Exhibition 2018. This event is a powerful competitive platform which will provide visitors and Emirati entrepreneurs with the opportunity to enhance their knowledge of global trends, understand more about the world of franchises and potential opportunities to forge partnerships with leading foreign companies.
Mental health, which is a crucial aspect in the health care agenda of the UAE, will be in the spotlight when the Abu Dhabi International Mental Health Conference gets underway from October 18 to 20. This event will provide the ideal opportunity for leading clinical practitioners, academics, service providers and mental health professionals to discuss issues facing the UAE and the region.
Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Centre will also host Gulf Dentex 2018 from October 20 to 22. The event will showcase all aspects of the global dental business under one roof and bring together the most advanced technologies and equipment, to provide a platform for suppliers and professionals to exchange experiences and explore the healthcare market in the region.
The Middle East Games Con 2018, the largest of its kind in the Middle East, to be held from October 25 to 27, will feature live tournaments that bring together professional gamers and YouTubers and include interactive experiences and offer the opportunity to compete with top-level professional players. Visitors will have the chance to learn about the latest trends in the world of gaming and software, such as control units, personal computers, mobile devices, collectables and goods.
Watch and jewellery lovers will be treated to a brand-new edition of the Jewellery & Watch Show 2018, which will be held from October 25 to 29 at the Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Centre. This unique event will display an exclusive collection of jewellery and watches from around the world and reach out to discerning consumers in the region.
Adnec will also host Najah 2018 from October 31 to November 2. “Najah” is a three-day comprehensive event designed specifically for university students, parents and teachers. The event will provide a window into the different global universities, and the chance to learn about scholarship and funding opportunities provided by various government organisations.
For the first time in the Middle East, Al Ain Convention Centre will host the International Zoo Educators Association (IZE) Conference from October 13 to 18, as part of Al Ain Zoo’s commitment to protect the natural environment and preserve it for future generations. The conference will discuss topics such as support for zoos, biodiversity and environmental awareness.
