50-m WALKWAY, EXCLUSIVE DECK

Nakheel unveils UAE’s first floating pool at Palm Jumeirah

DUBAI, September 27, 2018

Dubai master developer Nakheel said its hotel, restaurant and leisure arm, Nakheel Hospitality & Leisure, has launched the UAE’s first floating swimming pool, 50 m offshore in the waters of the world-famous Palm Jumeirah in the Arabian Gulf.

A new destination for poolside relaxation by day and a stunning venue for private events by night, the 1.2 metre deep pool is a unique extension of Breeze Beach Grill at Club Vista Mare, one of Nakheel’s growing collection of clubs and restaurants across the emirate, said the top developer.

Accessible by a 50-m walkway, the 20-m-long, 10-m-wide pool has an extensive deck area with sunbeds and seating for up to 75 people. It is attached to the seabed using the Seaflex anchor system that is used for pontoons and floating jetties, it added.

Thorsten Ries, the managing director of Nakheel Hospitality & Leisure, said: "This stunning new attraction is unique because it allows guests to choose from a fresh water dip in the pool or salt water swim in the Arabian Gulf, in one offshore location."

" It’s been constructed over the summer to be ready for the winter season, and is already the talk of the town," he stated.

“Breeze Beach Grill is one of our most popular dining and leisure destinations, thanks to its superb location and private beach. Now it has the added attraction of the UAE’s first floating pool, further enhancing its appeal as a must-visit venue in Dubai,” said Ries.

Day time entry to the pool is for adults only, and costs Dh200 per person, Dh100 of which is redeemable on food and drinks from Breeze. Towels are provided, said the top official.

By night, the pool transforms into a private function venue – ideal for corporate events, product launches or family celebrations.

Breeze Beach Grill at Club Vista Mare complements four other Nakheel restaurants on Palm Jumeirah: Il Faro and Asian Kitchen at Azure Residences; Sun& at Palm Views West and Barrel 12 at Palm Views East. More concepts are on the way at The Pointe at Palm Jumeirah, Nakheel’s new waterfront dining and entertainment destination, opening soon, said the top developer.

Nakheel Hospitality & Leisure also operates clubs and restaurants at Jebel Ali Village, Jumeirah Islands and Al Furjan, with more under development at Jumeirah Park, Warsan Village, Jumeirah Village and Nad Al Sheba, it added.-TradeArabia News Service
