New GM for Radisson Blu Hotel, Dubai Deira Creek

DUBAI, August 14, 2018

Radisson Blu Hotel, Dubai Deira Creek, a luxurious hotel in the UAE emirate, has appointed Czech national Jan Hanak as its new general manager.

Prior to his new post, Hanak was the cluster general manager of the Radisson Blu Hotel, Moscow Sheremetyevo Airport and the Park Inn by Radisson Pulkovo Airport St. Petersburg.

Having begun his hospitality career in 1998, Hanak has worked various front office positions at the Radisson SAS Alcron Hotel, Prague, before joining the Radisson SAS Portman Hotel in London. There, he was revenue manager from 2005 until 2008 before progressing to executive assistant manager in 2009.

He then took on the role of general manager of the Radisson Blu Hotel Belfast in 2009. In 2011, he became the city general manager of Belfast for the Radisson Hotel Group, managing the same Radisson Blu Hotel as well as the Park Inn by Radisson Belfast.

From his experience in Russia, Hanak oversaw a successful renovation project at the Park Inn Sheremetyevo Airport Moscow, which totalled 842 rooms.

With this accomplishment and his education in finance and economics at the Czech University of Life Sciences Prague, Hanak is well-equipped to take over the renovation process at the Radisson Blu Hotel, Dubai Deira Creek.

The hotel’s exciting nine-month project ended earlier this year, transforming all 288 rooms and the façade and restoring the historic property as the premier hotel on the Dubai Creek. This renovation furthers the development of the Deira Creek area alongside the city’s efforts. - TradeArabia News Service
