The Meydan Hotel appoints new executive assistant manager

The Meydan Hotel has welcomed Mohamed Shawky as its new executive assistant manager - rooms.

The Egyptian national is no stranger to The Meydan Hotel as his recent role was cluster director of Revenue for The Meydan Hotel and its sister property Bab Al Shams Desert Resort & Spa since December 2015.

In his new role as the hotel’s executive assistant manager- rooms, Shawky will be overseeing all aspects of the hotel operations for The Meydan Hotel, heading the front office, housekeeping and laundry, while continue heading the cluster revenue department for both sister properties.

“Mohamed’s excellent leadership skills, wealth of knowledge and experience are considered a great asset to direct the hotel’s activities and to improve the product offering, while supporting the team to implement the high service standards for this award-winning hotel,” said Reuben Mifsud, cluster general manager, Meydan Hotels & Hospitality.

Shawky has 14 years of hospitality experience in both front office operations, sales, revenue and reservation management in various regional and international hotel chains in Egypt and UAE.
