Copthorne Hotel Dubai completes refurbishment project
DUBAI, May 27, 2018
Copthorne Hotel Dubai, the popular four-star hotel in Deira, has completed a Dh2.5 million ($680,605) enhancement across its leisure and dining facilities, offering hotel guests a fresh, relaxing and friendly hotel experience.
The recent upgrades have given the Horizon Health Club a new look with expanded floor space and a range of brand new state-of-the-art cardio and strength-training equipment by Cybex such as their latest model treadmills, arc trainers, functional trainers and a variety of weight machines. The gym’s floor space was maximised to accommodate an increase in the equipment to keep pace with the demands of today’s health-conscious traveller.
In-house guests will continue to enjoy complimentary access to the fitness centre while gym memberships are available to residents at a special introductory rate, while plans are in place to offer additional classes and services such as yoga and personal fitness training in the coming months.
Adjacent to the fitness centre is the Gazebo Pool Terrace where individual guests or the whole family can swim, sunbathe, snack and splash around for hours. The striking orange-coloured sun lounges and cushions are enough reasons for young and adult guests to laze around the outdoor swimming pool. With a curtained pergola, families can enjoy time in their own cabana type setting, and watch the kids play in their own dedicated pool and play equipment. You can order light snacks and refreshing beverages such as blended soft drinks or innocent cocktails from Gazebo Terrace while taking in the beautiful sunsets over the skyline and Dubai Creek.
Alfresco dining is now available at Crystal Restaurant. An intimate patio has been added to the exterior of the restaurant that can seat up to 20 guests, surrounded by plants. Here, guests can feast on a sumptuous breakfast to start the day or finish a pleasant evening with a tasty dinner while enjoying the outdoor setting. The patio is also a relaxed meeting place for a special evening or a gathering after work with friends.
Glenn Nobbs, general manager, said: “We are delighted to announce the completion of our refurbishment projects aimed at further enhancing our guests’ experience, which were necessary to keep in step with the needs and expectations of our guests’ demands. Having turned 10 this year, we are dedicated to making improvements on the hotel, while living up to our brand promise of providing the perfect balance of comfort, service and affordability to all of our guests.”
Earlier this year, the hotel had undergone a soft refurbishment of its 82 one- and two-bedroom suites creating a warm and contemporary look and feel to the living rooms.
In addition, and importantly prior to the commencement of summer, two new chillers were installed to replace the older equipment and provide not only better cooling but also approximately 23% more energy efficiency, reducing the Hotel’s carbon footprint.
The next phase will see the refurbishment of the hotel’s 210 guest rooms, scheduled to be completed floor by floor, and centred around providing a practical and comfortable guest room. - TradeArabia News Service
