Radisson Red comes to the UK
GLASGOW, May 3, 2018
Radisson Red, the upscale, select-service brand from the Radisson Hotel Group, has opened its first hotel in the UK.
Located in the West End at the heart of the city’s stimulating music and art scene, Radisson Red Glasgow is a few minutes away from the liveliest music venues in Scotland, just a stone’s throw from The Hydro and the city’s media hub, and within easy reach of the trendy city center.
"We’re genuinely excited to give people the opportunity to enjoy Red, and I feel confident that as well as having a fantastic product in a great location, we have the best team in place to deliver a memorable and Red experience for guests,” said Richard Moore, area senior vice president, UK, Ireland & Western Europe, Radisson Hotel Group.
Big, comfortable and connected, each of the 174 rooms features natural materials, colorful accents and eclectic design pieces. Bold wallpapers, designed by legendary Glasgow comic artist Frank Quitely, adds a sense of fun, while smart in-room technology makes the experience all the more enjoyable.
The ground floor space – with the OUIBar + KTCHN – is the place to be. Fresh food, plenty of wine and chilled craft beers...this is the hangout for casual meetings, enjoying tasty cocktails or stepping up for a game of pool.
The hotel’s stunning new Red Sky Bar – Glasgow’s first rooftop bar – is the perfect spot to watch the sunset over the River Clyde. Guests can enjoy a bird’s eye view of the action with a Red cocktail in hand, tapas to share, and background beats from some of the city’s best DJs.
The event and games studios are playfully designed, equipped with everything you need to throw an epic party or simply get your meetings off autopilot. Each of the three studios is kitted with high-tech equipment and super-fast wi-fi – no internet lag here.
From optional self-check-in/check-out, keyless entry, to requesting extra pillows, the Red App gives guests exactly what they want – convenience and simplicity. They can also use the friendly chat feature to interact with other guests, from arranging an airport taxi-share to uncovering the best local gigs.
Michael Weston, the Hotel Curator, said: “We’re all so excited to open and introduce Red to Glasgow and the wider UK. The Red experience is different – we encourage laughter, playfulness and even a little mischief with guests, and we use our spaces as a showcase for some of the best local talent in art, design, music and fashion. We really hope people come to the hotel, love what they see, and come back again and again.” - TradeArabia News Service
