Gulf Air showcases new Dreamliner business class seat at ATM

Bahrain national carrier Gulf Air is participating in the Arabian Travel Market (ATM) in Dubai alongside Bahrain Tourism and Exhibition Authority and a number of Bahraini travel and tourism industry representatives.

Taking place at the Dubai World Trade Centre from April 22-25, Gulf Air is displaying its latest state of the art product at the event. Guests at the Bahrain stand will have the opportunity to experience Gulf Air’s incoming Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner premium, business class seat. The Bahrain stand is located in Hall 2 stand ME1410 at ATM.

Captain Waleed Abdulhameed Al Alawi, Gulf Air deputy chief executive officer, commented: “As the proud national carrier of  Bahrain, it is fitting that we use this platform to showcase a key element of our new premium Gulf Air product offering. Going forward every kind of traveller will be able to enjoy a state-of-the-art, modern, relaxing and memorable experience as Gulf Air’s new fleet will be outfitted with superior seats, Inflight Entertainment and much more, elevating the premium passenger experience and enhancing the economy class experience. We are only days away from officially taking delivery of Gulf Air’s first Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner – a historic moment for Gulf Air and Bahrain and yet another important step in our strategic direction towards furthering Gulf Air’s fleet modernization process and supporting our network and overall passenger experience enhancement strategies. The ATM provides a unique opportunity for global travel trade industry members to learn more about industry offerings and trends. Gulf Air’s attendance at the ATM is in line with our longstanding mission and continuous efforts to promote Bahrain to an international audience as a tourist and business destination and to promote how our national carrier is facilitating and enhancing the passenger experience to and from the Kingdom of Bahrain. Gulf Air’s new and highly anticipated Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner fleet entry will be delivered on April 27 and will ultimately serve Gulf Air’s double daily London Heathrow service, offering increased capacity and enhanced, superior onboard products and services, from June 15. Gulf Air’s incoming fleet of 39 new Boeing and Airbus aircraft will see by end-2018 the arrival of five Boeing 787-9 Dreamliners and two Airbus A320neo aircraft. The new incoming aircraft will facilitate the national carrier expansion plans, while maintaining one of the youngest fleets in the region, building upon its award-winning reliability, on-time performance and product and service standards.

Gulf Air will begin launching flights to its newest destinations with flights to Bangalore from May 1, to Alexandria, Egypt from June 10, Casablanca in Morocco from June 11, Baku in Azerbaijan from June 12, Abha and Tabuk in Saudi Arabia from June 15, Calicut, India from June 15 and Sharm El Sheikh, Egypt from June 16.
