The ceremony, held at the Ritz Carlton in DIFC, saw attendance by leading decision makers, governmental agencies, and operators from the Mena and global Leisure & Entertainment Industry.
The “Best Water Park” award celebrates Yas Waterworld’s achievements in continually providing guests with new experiences that capture the park’s unique theme of “The Legend of the Lost Pearl.” Considered the pearl in Yas Island’s collection of world-class attractions, the park is recognized for its captivating world of rides, slides and attractions. For fostering a fun and interactive service culture among its employees, Yas Waterworld was also awarded “The Best Employees’ Engagement Initiative” for its multi-layered program, the “Pearls of Service.”
Founded in 2016 under the patronage of the Dubai Chamber of Commerce and Industry and the Dubai Association Centre, Menalac promotes safe operations, regional development, professional growth, and commercial success of the amusement industry.
Accepting the awards on behalf of the waterpark, Bianca Sammut, general manager, Yas Waterworld, said: “These awards reinforce the sense of pride and achievement that is shared by all of us at Yas Waterworld. We are truly humbled by the recognition, and would like to thank Menalac for all of their efforts in promoting the continued development of the entertainment and leisure industry. All that we do at Yas Waterworld is made possible by a hardworking team of devoted employees, and it is their passion that has brought us this moment.”
Operational since 2013, Yas Waterworld celebrated its fifth anniversary at the start of the year. Beyond its diverse array of events and activities, the park is home to over 40 rides, slides, and attractions. Among them are Bubbles Barrel: the world’s largest surf-able sheet wave with a 3-m high wave, Bandit Bomber: the Middle East’s longest suspended rollercoaster with a length of 550-m, and Falcon’s Falaj: the longest mammoth water coaster ride in the Middle East at 300-m. - TradeArabia News Service
