Al-Nadi..'Market looks promising and we see a huge opportunity for growth'

Designs Group to showcase hotel furniture solutions at Index

DUBAI, March 20, 2018

Saudi-based Designs Group has announced plans to unveil its latest venture at  Index, the Middle East & North Africa’s largest and most successful design exhibition taking place in Dubai from March 26 to 29.

Now in its 28th year, Index brings together over 25,000 industry professionals from all over the world for four days of business.

Designs Group will be displaying at the show an exclusive range of products from B2B Hotel Furniture, the newly established regional marketing and business development office in Dubai Design District (D3).

Eng. Mohammad Al-Nadi, CEO of Designs Group, said: “At the Designs Group we are proud to be among the leading companies offering integrated hotel design and furniture solutions across the Middle East & Africa and are delighted to present our latest collection at Index. B2B Hotel Furniture in D3 is our specialised furniture, fixtures and equipment (FF&E) as well as operating supplies equipment (OS&E) purchasing firm. It is supported by our specialised sister companies with a strong global procurement network, dedicated factories and offices across key markets in MEA region along with a highly skilled and experienced team of designers, project managers and site engineers.”

According to a study done by Ventures Onsite Projects, due to the growing focus on developing the tourism sector in the GCC by the respective countries, the region has seen a major boost in the development of hotels. The total value of hotel projects, expected to be completed in 2018, is projected at $9.4 billion. In addition, a lot of existing hotels are also being refurbished in the lead up to mega-events like Expo 2020 and the Fifa World Cup 2022. The overall GCC interiors and fit-out spend in the hotels sector is expected to grow by 24 per cent from $1.7 billion in 2017 to $2.1 billion in 2018. The UAE accounts for the largest spend in this sector, which is likely to increase from $770 million in 2017 to $878 million in 2018 followed by Saudi Arabia.

Al-Nadi said: “The market looks extremely promising and we can see a huge opportunity for growth. The strength of our group and the spread of our activities leaves us well positioned to build on our success. Owing to the support we receive from other subsidiaries under our umbrella we have a better grip over every project we undertake and are able to drive down the price to deliver the best value to our clients. Index is a great platform to expand our existing network while exploring new opportunities to introduce our newly established B2B Hotel Furniture in D3 to the UAE and rest of GCC market. It also allows us the chance to see the latest innovations and developments shaping our industry." - TradeArabia News Service
