AirAsia X now flies to Jaipur from Kuala Lumpur

AirAsia X has announced its latest route from Kuala Lumpur to Jaipur, making it easier for the people from Kuala Lumpur to travel to North West India, with promotional all-in-fares from RM199 one-way ($51).
The promotional all-in-fares runs from February 5 until February 11 for travel period between Feb 5 until July 31. The award winning Premium Flatbed is also available for booking at promotional all-in-fares from RM 699 ($179.2).
A special ceremony was held to celebrate the inaugural flight, which landed at Jaipur International Airport on February 5.
AirAsia X is the only low cost carrier to offer this direct route from Kuala Lumpur and Jaipur, the capital city of Rajasthan in India. The airline will operate four times weekly service, which will further expand its network in the South Asia and strengthen AirAsia X’s and its short haul affiliate, AirAsia’s connectivity in India.
AirAsia Berhad executive chairman and AirAsia X Group CEO Kamarudin Meranun said: “India is one of our key growth markets, and we can build a stronger foothold here. We now fly to two destinations in the world-renowned Golden Triangle with the addition of the Jaipur flights to our existing Delhi services. This latest route addition brings the total of weekly flights connecting Malaysia to India under AirAsia Group to 110 times and total capacity under AirAsia Group including AirAsia X to 22,755 seats."
“This new service to Jaipur is part of our goal to meet the growing demand for regional connectivity to tier-II cities in India. Through the increase in flight operations from airports in tier-II and tier-III cities, India’s regional connectivity will be enhanced. We expect this new route to boost passenger growth between Malaysia, India and the region,” added Meranun.
Since 2010, AirAsia Group has enabled over 16 million passengers to travel in and out of India. As of December 2017, AirAsia X Malaysia have carried over 184,482 guests since the introduction of the Kuala Lumpur-New Delhi direct service in February 2016.
With the new route, AirAsia X together with its short haul affiliate, AirAsia now serve a total of 19 Indian cities including Bagdogra, Bengaluru, Bhubaneswar, Chandigarh, Chennai, Goa, Guwahati, Hyderabad, Imphal, Kochi, Kolkata, Mumbai, New Delhi, Pune, Ranchi, Srinagar, Tiruchirappalli and Visakhapatnam. - TradeArabia News Service
