TAG Farnborough reports record traffic growth

FARNBOROUGH, February 4, 2018

TAG Farnborough Airport has announced a record increase of 17.9 per cent in air traffic movements in January -  the highest ever growth in its history for the month of January.

This follows a year of significant growth with 2017 being the airport’s busiest year since 2007.

For the full year 2017, TAG Farnborough Airport saw a year-on-year increase in air traffic movements of 7.4 per cent and the record 17.9 per cent increase in January 2018 is a clear indication that this positive trend is set to continue.

TAG Farnborough Airport serves customers from around the world and in 2017 noted substantial growth in air traffic movements from Asia with an increase of 13 per cent year-on-year, as well as Africa and Europe, both up by 10 per cent year-on-year.

“This improved performance is a tribute to the dedication of all our employees and represents a clear vote of confidence from the business aviation sector. It underlines the success of TAG Farnborough Airport’s philosophy -  to consistently offer a five-star service of the highest standard with no compromises – and our position as Europe’s leading business airport,” said Brandon O’Reilly, CEO TAG Farnborough Airport.

TAG Farnborough Airport currently handles approximately 25,000 flights per annum with approval to increase this number to 50,000 by 2019, and is equipped to cater for a wide range of aircraft types including Boeing Business Jets and Airbus Corporate Jets. As the only dedicated business aviation airport in the UK, it is specifically designed to offer a one-stop shop for business aviation customers and with 240,000-sq-ft of heated hangar facilities and 1.2 million sq-ft of ramp space can accommodate both based and transient aircraft. - TradeArabia News Service
