Golden Sands expects continued influx of Indian visitors

DUBAI, January 22, 2018

Golden Sands Hotel Apartments in Dubai, part of AA Al Moosa Enterprises, has witnessed a 10 per cent increase in visitor arrivals from India in 2017 and is expecting to double the growth this year.

The property hopes to continue to attract and get a bigger share of this market through an aggressive marketing campaign and participation in trade shows such as Satte, South Asia’s leading travel show happening in New Delhi, India from January 31 to February 2.

The team of Golden Sands Hotel Apartments, led by general manager Mohammed Khoori and senior sales manager Shazia Ahmed, will be exhibiting at Satte to build business relations and partnership with top decision makers, travel agents and tour operators serving the Indian market.

“Satte is the leader in travel trade shows across South Asia and Golden Sands Hotel Apartments is known in the Indian market for the quality of service that we offer, the high standard facilities and convenient location. With over 20,000 attendees this year, we’d like to take every opportunity to connect, grow and learn from our partners and meet with potential clients to discuss possible collaboration in order to increase our share of this very attractive market,” said Khoori.

India is the number one source market for Dubai’s inbound tourism, with 1,478,000 Indian tourists arriving in the city between January and September 2017, a 20 per cent increase over the same period in 2016. Recent reports indicated that around nine million Indians are expected to travel to the GCC by 2021, with the UAE expected to see a 10.8 per cent increase.

Khoori added: “We are seeing more visitors from India because of the relaxed visa restrictions, the short travel distance from India to the UAE, the new leisure attractions, a strong year-round calendar of events, expansion of low-cost carriers and the development of mid-market hotels that will result to both new and repeat travellers. Thus, we need to seize this opportunity by interacting with the right partners and strengthening our connections with existing business partners.”

The team is scheduled to meet with agents from the North, South and Western part of India during the three-day exhibition to promote the new look of the apartments and introduce the upcoming summer packages to secure new contracts and deals. - TradeArabia News Service
