Oman Tourism transfers five projects to Omran

Oman Tourism Development Company (Omran) will be receiving five projects from the sultanate's tourism ministry following the signing of a transfer agreement today, said a report.
The move comes within the framework of the executive steps to segregate the legislative and executive role in tourism sector, siad a report in Oman Observer.
The Ministry of Tourism will look into legislation and plan related to the development of tourism sector and Omran will execute the tourism development plans.
In the first phase, Omran will manage Ras Al Jinz project, Al Hoota Cave, Al Auwayfiyah Rest House, Al Ashkhara Rest House and Salalah Rest House, the report said.
The transfer of these projects followed efforts by a joint teamwork from the ministry and Omran.
The rest of the projects will be transferred to Omran in a phased manner during the coming period, it said.
