Oman Air offers 50kg free baggage to Omani students

MUSCAT, December 24, 2017

Oman Air is demonstrating its support of Omani students by continuing to offer them an additional 20 kilos of free baggage on all international flights originating from Oman.

This offer is in addition to the existing 30 kilo free baggage allowance and is available until the end of 2018; helping students fund their travel next year.

This initiative reflects the national carrier's keenness to support Omani students and positively contribute to keeping the costs of travel with the airline to a minimum. The offer will include all international routes and destinations within Oman Air’s ever growing network. This offer is not offered on regional flights within Oman.

Jamal Al Azki, Oman country manager, Oman Air, said: “As the national carrier we take our role in supporting our citizens very seriously and we have a responsibility to support our students, who will be tomorrow’s workforce. Whether they are travelling for a holiday, to study, to broaden their horizons or are simply visiting family, we aim to make it as easy and cost-effective as possible for them to fly with Oman Air.”

The increased baggage offer is applicable only for Omani Students travelling in Economy Class. Every student has to provide student ID or a letter from their educational establishment which proves their enrolment. To take advantage of the free baggage offer students will have to book tickets with the students discount fare through Oman Air. Tickets should be issued in Oman only, irrespective of the point of travel within the Oman Air network. Normal baggage rules apply for all tickets issued outside Oman, the airline said. - TradeArabia News Service
