The Bahrain Tourism and Exhibitions Authority (BTEA) hosted Saudi wedding planning agencies from Jeddah and Riyadh from October 21-23.

Seven agencies were selected to attend the forum held at the Bahrain International Exhibition and Convention Centre (BIECC) on October 23, where they had the opportunity to meet with 30 various companies from Bahrain to discuss future opportunities in this sector. The companies included major hotels, wedding planning agencies, travel logistics companies, and banquet halls.

“We are delighted to host the largest Saudi Arabian wedding planning agencies to promote the wide range of wedding services and amenities available in the Kingdom. The BTEA strives to host such events that aim to showcase the kingdom’s offerings as a wedding destination as well as showcase the international luxury hotel chains and boutique offerings,” said the advisor to the Bahrain Tourism and Exhibitions Authority, Dr. Ali Hassan Follad.

“Developing the kingdom’s wedding sector comes in line with the BTEA’s 2016-2018 strategy aimed at promoting Bahrain as a wedding destination for its diverse offerings that also makes it an ideal destination for families and international tourists,” he added.

In addition, a tour around the kingdom was also organised where the Saudi Arabian delegation had the chance to visit some of Bahrain’s tourist attractions such as Bahrain International Circuit, and the Royal Golf Club. The tour also included visits to some of the kingdom’s luxury hotels including the Gulf Hotel, Four Seasons Hotel Bahrain Bay, Sofitel Bahrain Zallaq Thalassa Sea and Spa, and the Ritz-Carlton. - TradeArabia News Service
