HAMBURG, August 16, 2017
AviaAM Financial Leasing China, a joint venture between AviaAM Leasing and Henan Civil Aviation Development and Investment Company (HNCA), has delivered its sixth Airbus A320 family aircraft.
On August 15, Airbus A321-211SL (MSN 7801) was handed over to Russian state airline Aeroflot at Hamburg International Airport, Germany. Under the operating lease contract, the flag carrier will operate the aircraft with 16 business and 167 economy seat configuration aircraft for the next 12 years.
The brand-new aircraft was delivered as a part of a previously signed Memorandum of Understanding between AviaAM Financial Leasing China and Aeroflot. It is the second Airbus A321 type aircraft of the project covering the sale and lease back of total eight ex-factory Airbus A320/A321 aircraft.
“The project with Aeroflot is progressively moving forward. Under the contract, we have already delivered six aircraft to our trusted client. Two more Airbus aircraft as a part of the project are expected to be delivered within the next months,” said Tadas Goberis, chairman of the Board and CEO of AviaAM Leasing.
Currently, Aeroflot operates a fleet consisting of almost 300 aircraft. The newly acquired aircraft will complement air carrier’s activities on more than 130 international routes across 50 countries.
