Over 100,000 visitors recorded at Sharjah's 'Ramadan Nights'

SHARJAH, July 3, 2017

Over 100,000 visitors attended the 'Ramadan Night’s Exhibition' held in Sharjah - a 78 per cent year-on-year growth rate in the number of visitors compared to last year, said a report.

The event received a total of 108,569 visitors this year compared to 60,915 visitors in 2016, WAM reported.

The 16-day exhibition, organised by Expo Centre Sharjah, was held as part of the 28th Sharjah Ramadan Festival, under the support of the Sharjah Chamber of Commerce and Industry.

This year's exhibition was marked by its euphoric ambience and exhibitors' discounts that attracted visitors and contributed to realising great revenues that exceeded all expectations, it said.

Saif Mohamed Al-Midfa, CEO of Expo Centre Sharjah, noted that the Ramadan Nights Exhibition has reasserted its leading position as a distinguished social event that attracts large segments of UAE residents and visitors.

The continuing development and enhancement of the exhibition offerings has contributed to attracting more than 170 international and local exhibitors as well as elite international and national retailers, he said.

The exhibition created an ideal atmosphere for residents and visitors to spend pleasant Ramadan evenings, with a lot of shopping opportunities, delicious dining experiences from various international cuisines, and spacious areas for children’s recreational activities.
