Residents and visitors to Abu Dhabi during April will now be able to enjoy two new waterside weekend attractions in some of the city’s most desirable destinations, courtesy of Aldar Properties, a leading real estate developer in Abu Dhabi.
 
Al Dana Weekend will take place on Al Dana Island within Al Raha Beach from April 13-15, and will be followed by Reem Weekend which will take place from April 20-22 alongside Reem Island’s new canal. Both events are free, and open to the public from 5pm-11pm.
 
Inspired by the vibrant colours and carefree waterside holiday atmosphere of Santorini, Al Dana & Reem Island Weekends will bring together shopping, music, sport, entertainment and food.
 
Organic food producers and food trucks will provide visitors with a wide variety of international and local cuisines. This will be complemented by street performances, live mural painting as well as adventure and sporting activities such as parents and kids yoga, climbing walls, and trampolines. For children, a dedicated kids zone, farm and beach play area, will be on offer. A pop up market will feature vintage goods, fashion, arts and crafts, eyewear and beauty. Al Dana Weekend will also include an art exhibition that showcases the work of local talent. Competitions and prize givings will run throughout both weekends.

Al Dana is a centrepiece of Al Raha Beach, and close to Aldar HQ, with all landscaping, canal scaping, road networks now complete, along with active utilities to allow for plot handovers. Third party developers are actively submitting designs for plots on Al Dana, aiming to secure NOCs from Aldar to allow them to start work.
