Bahrain Airport Company (BAC) has announced that it will be conducting a full scale emergency exercise at Bahrain International Airport (BIA) on March 14, in coordination with various governmental authorities.

The exercise is to assess the effectiveness and adequacy of the airport’s emergency plan. The real-life scenarios will enable BAC to test the capabilities and readiness of BIA’s emergency and rescue services to cope with any potential crisis, a statement from BAC said.

The exercise will take place around 01:00 am and steps have been taken for it not to affect the normal operations, movement and functions at the airport.

The public, passengers and onlookers within the vicinity of the airport (both inside and out) are urged not to be concerned and should not be alarmed by the  movement of emergency and rescue services, the statement said. - TradeArabia News Service
