Iran Air to get first Airbus A321 ‘in days’

TEHRAN, January 9, 2017

The first Airbus A321 will be delivered to Iran Air in the next few days, managing director of the Civil Aviation Organization of Iran said yesterday (January 8).

An Iranian pilot, co-pilot and crew are in France now to fly the passenger plane to the country, Farhad Parvaresh was quoted as saying by Irna.

The preliminary contract between Iran and France's Airbus for purchase of 100 passenger planes was signed during the historic visit of the Iranian President Hassan Rouhani to Paris last year.

A group of officials and experts of the Civil Aviation Organization, who had been sent to France to take part in the training courses, will come back home by the Airbus A321, Parvaresh noted.
