Rahman takes on her new role at Amwaj Rotana, Dubai

New housekeeping director at Amwaj Rotana, Dubai

DUBAI, October 10, 2016

Amwaj Rotana Jumeirah Beach - Dubai has appointed Farzana Rahman as the property's new director of housekeeping.

Hailing from Toronto, Canada, Rahman brings with her more than 10 years’ international experience in Front Office, Housekeeping and Spa management positions. Rahman’s passion for work and travel has seen her working for properties such as Delta Chelsea Hotel in Toronto, Fairmont Orchid in Hawaii and the One & Only Royal Mirage in Dubai.

Majoring in Psychology and graduating with a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Regina, Rahman started out her career in the Front Office department in 2003 where she was responsible for the front of house operations of a 1,590 key hotel.

In 2005, she decided on a career change and moved to the Housekeeping department and shortly after to the Spa and Wellness department where she spent two years as spa manager. In mid-2008 Rahman was offered the opportunity to expand her experience and cultural exposure in Dubai.

Commenting on her move to Amwaj Rotana Rahman said: "This is a very exciting move for me and I am grateful to have been given the chance to join the team of one of the Middle East's most reputable hotel chains."

Rahman will be replacing Marko Korica who has been promoted to the position of executive assistant manager at one of Rotana Hotel’s newest properties, Boulevard Arjaan by Rotana in Amman, Jordan. - TradeArabia News Service
