80pc of Makkah hotel jobs to be staffed by nationals

MAKKAH, May 29, 2016

Around 80 per cent of the jobs in Makkah's hotels and tourist resorts will be staffed by locals by the end of the year, said a report.

The plan, which is part of the kindom's Saudisation push, will be carried out in cooperation with the Saudi Commission for Tourism and National Heritage (SCTH) and Human Resources Development Fund (Hadaf), Saudi Gazette said, citing Abdullah Bin Muhammad Al-Olayyan, director of the Ministry of Labor and Social Development branch in Makkah province.

He has called on the Saudi youth to register in the ‘Taqat’ website, Hadaf program and SCTH website so that they can be contacted and provided a suitable job, the report said.
