Hilton Al Ain's restaurant gets top certification

Al AIN, April 19, 2016

Flavours, the main restaurant of Hilton Al Ain in the UAE, has been officially certified by Food Control Authority with Weqaya programme as the first restaurant in Al Ain where the diners can experience authentic healthy food.

The Weqaya Nutrition programme contributes to the reduction of risk factors associated with major non-communicable diseases such as heart diseases, high blood pressure, diabetes, and cancer, through public awareness on healthy food options available in restaurants and food outlets.

In collaboration with Abu Dhabi Food Control Authority (ADFCA), Health Authority of Abu Dhabi is adding Weqaya logo to the healthy food items on restaurants’ menus if all requested criteria of the Weqaya programme has been met by the food producer.

The healthy concept of Flavours restaurant’s menu at Hilton Al Ain has been created by executive chef Inan Dogru. Originally from Turkey, Dogru brought with him a wealth of culinary experience to delight every diner’s taste buds. He said: “What are the guest’s preferences and how to achieve their expectations are always top priorities for us at Hilton Al Ain. I think the concept of healthy and at the same time tasty food is really important nowadays for each of us, therefore I decided to take it even more seriously and to prove that at Flavours restaurant we serve officially certified healthy food - low in fat, low in salt and rich in fibre.”

Besides the buffet, guests can enjoy the a la carte menu, which has been launched recently, with healthy food options easily recognisable by the Weqaya logo.

Flavours restaurant is open for breakfast, lunch and dinner seven days a week. The guests can also enjoy brunch every Friday from 1:00 pm until 4:00 pm. - TradeArabia News Service
