Dowling ... first role in Middle East.

New GM for Le Méridien and Westin Bahrain City Centre

Starwood Hotels & Resorts in the Middle East has appointed Anna-Marie Dowling as the new complex general manager for The Westin Bahrain City Centre and Le Méridien Bahrain City Centre.

Dowling’s expertise and experience in the hospitality industry spans 24 years, taking on various positions in properties in the UK. This will be her first role in the Middle East.

Dowling joins the team from the Sofitel London Heathrow, where she was the general manager since 2013. Prior to this, Dowling was the general manager at the Royal Horseguards, a luxury hotel which is part of the Guoman Group.  She previously made her debut with Starwood in 2003, as general manager for Le Méridien Piccadilly Hotel & Café Royal.  

Le Méridien Bahrain City Centre recently renovated all of its guest rooms, Club Lounge and introduced new elements, such as the Longitude 50, a brand lobby café concept, as well as Art Link, a digital photography exhibition that spans Le Méridien’s corridor to the shopping mall entrance.

The Westin Bahrain Centre City also recently renovated all of its guest rooms with each room includes the signature Westin Heavenly Bed, the Executive Lounge, and the new creative space, Tangent. The hotel will complete its refreshed look later this year with the introduction of a new and unique concept, said the statement. - TradeArabia News Service
