Twenty14 Holdings acquires Abad Airport Hotel, Kochi

LuLu unit acquires first hotel in Kerala

UAE, December 27, 2015

The hospitality investment arm of UAE-based LuLu Group International, Twenty14 Holdings, has acquired its first property in India, said a report.

Twenty14 Holdings has entered into the mid-scale hotel segment with the recent acquisition of the Abad Airport Hotel, a 54-room property located near the Cochin International Airport in Kerala, India, Press Trust of India reported, citing a company statement.

The Gulf firm was in talks with Marriott to rebrand the property as Kochi's first Fairfield by Marriott Hotel.

The new property follows the opening of the group’s first five-star hotel in the UAE at Business Bay in Dubai, managed by Steigenberger Hotel Group, a leading Germany-based hospitality firm.

Twenty14 Holdings has also made a £110 million agreement with property developer Galliard Homes to create a luxurious five-star hotel at 1-5 Great Scotland Yard, UK, which is set to open in early 2017, the report said.
