Al Bustan Centre employees complete fitness programme

Employees of Al Bustan Centre and Residence, a popular hotel-apartment among tourists and businessmen in Dubai, UAE, have successfully completed the “Fit and Fab” programme which aims to promote health and wellness.
The programme included a four-week fitness training conducted in the hotel’s gym following a weigh-in every week at the Health Club. The training ended with a final weigh-in declaring the top three winners of the fitness programme.
Spearheaded by Liza Ortiz, the hotel’s director of Human Resources, the programmes enabled the company to build self confidence in employees, make them more conscious of their well-being, and put high regard on the importance of doing physical activities to one’s health, it said in a statement.
Moussa El Hayek, chief operating officer, Al Bustan Centre and Residence, said: “Employees are the most valuable assets of any company. This is why we make sure that our workforce is getting the benefits they deserve and through these programmes, we can be looking forward to a fruitful and more productive environment that will transcend to the high quality standard of customer service to our guest and clients.”
After a month long sweat and beating at the gym, the winners were announced at the Monthly Celebrations where Engineering Department was hailed as the winning team with a total weight loss of 6.9 per cent.
The individual winners were: Tushara Sampath from Engineering Department with weight loss of 12.3 per cent who took the first place, second place by Manikanta Reddy from Housekeeping with 11.9 per cent weight loss and third place taken by Raymond Burayag from Human Resources having 10.9 per cent weight loss.
