Dubai's first St Regis to open in Q4
DUBAI, July 15, 2015
St Regis, the luxurious brand from Starwood Hotels, will open the doors to its Al Habtoor City property in Dubai, UAE, in the fourth quarter of this year, a top official from the Al Habtoor Group revealed.
The upcoming property, which is the first St. Regis in the city, is inspired by Beaux-Arts architecture from New York’s Gilded Age and includes a grand staircase in the lobby, captivating murals, classic motifs, and sparkling chandeliers. The Gardens include water features, a fountain and a helipad.
Khalaf Ahmad Al Habtoor, the group’s chariman, said: “I am very proud to bring the St. Regis brand to Al Habtoor City. It epitomises timeless elegances while incorporating regional inspiration to differentiate itself from other hotels. As soon as you enter the gardens you feel like you have stepped into another world from a bygone era. The architecture of the façade is dominated by Roman-style columns, like the ones you would see at the Colosseum.”
The St. Regis Dubai, Al Habtoor will feature a total of 233 world-class accommodation, comprising 182 guest rooms and 51 signature suites, including a designer suite and a signature Royal suite. The hotel will offer the brand’s hallmark luxury service to the new destination, including its renowned St. Regis Butler Service as well as an indulgent spa. In addition, it will boast high-end restaurants offering sumptuous cuisine.
The hotel is situated in the new heart of Dubai; close to Business Bay and Downtown Dubai, and a 20 minute drive from Dubai International Airport.
The St. Regis Dubai, Al Habtoor City will share the same plot as two other Starwood brands, the W Dubai, and the Westin Dubai alongside the Dubai Water Canal and three luxury residential towers.
The City will also be home to the regions first-ever permanent Dragone theatrical production choreographed exclusively for Al Habtoor City.
Al Habtoor said: “The Al Habtoor City development is my pride and joy. It offers something very unique to the city that cannot be found anywhere else.” – TradeArabia News Service
