Air Arabia...new route to be served from RAK hub

Air Arabia flies to Kathmandu from RAK hub

RAS AL KHAIMAH, February 23, 2015

Air Arabia, a Sharjah-based carrier, has added Kathmandu as its latest destination to be served from the recently launched Ras Al Khaimah (RAK) hub in the UAE.

The low-cost carrier will fly twice weekly to the Nepalese capital, the 10th destination which travellers can now access from the Northern Emirates.

Adel A Ali, Group chief executive officer of Air Arabia, said: “In just nine months, we have reached the milestone of 10 exciting destinations to which our customers can fly via Ras Al Khaimah Airport. Customers can now enjoy great connectivity to Nepal from both, Sharjah and Ras Al Khaimah International Airports. We look forward to adding more routes in the future from our second hub in the UAE as the emirate’s travel and tourism sector continues to enjoy significant growth.”

Air Arabia’s first flight from Ras Al Khaimah International Airport, its second hub in the UAE, took off on May 6, 2014, to Jeddah in Saudi Arabia. It has since added direct services to Muscat, Oman; Dhaka and Chittagong, Bangladesh; Cairo, Egypt; Islamabad, Lahore and Peshawar, Pakistan and Doha, Qatar. – TradeArabia News Service
