Grand Millennium Dubai...eyeing European tourist market
Dubai hotel to target European market at ITB Berlin
DUBAI, February 2, 2015
The Grand Millennium Dubai, a luxury hotel in the UAE emirate, will be wooing the European travel market this March when the hotel team participates at the ITB Berlin travel exhibition in Germany.
The show is the premier trade and consumer travel event for Germany and surrounding countries, attracting more than 10,000 exhibitors, 20,000 convention visitors, 110,000 travel trade professionals and an estimated 50,000 potential travellers – and is an essential platform for sales and promotion, said Shadi Karameh, director of Sales, Grand Millennium Dubai.
“According to ITB World Travel Trends Report, the European market continues to expand, with a three per cent rise in overseas trips in 2013 and five per cent during the first eight months of 2014 – with city breaks up 10 per cent,” he said. “Europe is by far the largest market worldwide in volume, long haul travel from the continent is up, city breaks are becoming more popular and winter sun is also growing in popularity, all of which represent good opportunities for us at the Grand Millennium Dubai.”
The hotel, which offers deluxe value-priced accommodation including apartment options, is ideally suited for both business and leisure visitors, with easy access to beach, golf and shopping facilities, said Peter Mansourian, general manager.
“By sourcing new contacts and maintaining our links with key travel partners in Europe, as well as looking to new markets such as China, Russia, Africa and South America, the Grand Millennium will remain a preferred option in Dubai for both first-time and repeat visitors,” Mansourian said. - TradeArabia News Service
