Rosewood Corniche appoints new executive chef

Rosewood Corniche, a leading luxury hotel in Saudi Arabia, has appointed Amjad Yousef Al Ghandoor as its new executive chef.
A Jordanian national, Al Ghandoor brings more than 15 years’ international culinary experience to his new position, having worked with high profile hotel chains across the world. Prior to joining Rosewood Corniche, he was the executive chef at the Shaza Al Madinah Hotel in Madinah, Saudi Arabia.
Al Ghandoor will now manage the food and beverage team of chefs operating in the restaurants, including the renowned Japanese outlet Ginza I Chome, Chinese favourite Noodles, Soleil Café and the all-day dining venue Habsburg, in addition to managing the hotel’s in-room dining and exclusive on-site events.
In his role at Rosewood Corniche, Al Ghandoor will carefully work on the concepts and ingredient choices for the hotels respected restaurants menus, sourcing the best of local and international ingredients. He will also help put together special food events as well as oversee the popular Italian Food Festival which is set to return for its third year at the beginning of 2015.
Hans-Peter Leitzke, managing director of Rosewood Corniche, believes the international experience Al Ghandoor brings with him will provide a new flair in the kitchens of the hotel. “Having worked for a number of years at respected properties across China and Singapore, Ghandoor promises to bring more than a taste of Asia to our five-star culinary offering,” he said. – TradeArabia News Service
