Gulf Hotels Group plans new spa complex

Manama, December 12, 2013

Gulf Hotels Group (GHG) has signed an agreement with Almoayyed Contracting for the construction of a new BD3 million ($8 million) spa complex which will be located at the hotel.

The agreement was signed by GHG chief executive Aqeel Raees and Almoayyed Contracting's director and chief executive MT Mathews.

The design of the spa has been done by Portugal-based spa specialist ASPA. Palmer-Grego Associates is designing the interiors and Bahrain-based MSCEB handling the architecture, as well as mechanical and electrical works, reported the Gulf Daily News, our sister publication.

The project team is completed by BWS who are appointed as quantity surveyors.

The new two-storey 3,100 sq m spa will have separate floors for males and females and will feature hydro pools, Hammam, sauna, steam room, experience showers, treatment rooms and relaxation areas on both floors.

Additionally, the ladies floor will include a fully equipped gym, a beauty, hairdressing and nail salon and spa boutique.

The spa will also feature a rooftop terrace with outdoor relaxation areas and healthy refreshment service.

"We are confident that the spa will provide the same level of exceptional service that the Gulf Hotel is renowned for and will help the hotel maintain its position as the leading five-star hotel in Bahrain," Raees said.-TradeArabia News Service
