Turkish Airlines launches Lahore flight

National carrier Turkish Airlines has launched its Lahore route, making the city its third destination Pakistan as well as South Asia after Karachi and Islamabad.
Lahore is the second largest metropolitan area in Pakistan and is known as its cultural capital, with a rich tradition dating back hundreds of years.
Roundtrip flights between Istanbul and Lahore will operate three times per week on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays from Istanbul, and Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays from Lahore.
For the first six months of operation to its new destinations, the airline offers its Miles&Smiles members a 25 per cent reduction in the miles needed to redeem either award tickets or upgrades.
Established in 1933 with a fleet of five airplanes, Star Alliance member Turkish Airlines is today a four star airline with a fleet of 230 aircraft (passenger and cargo) flying to 241 cities around the world, comprised of 42 domestic and 199 international destinations. – TradeArabia News Service
