Banyan Tree names VP hotel operations

Banyan Tree Holdings, a leading manager and developer of premium resorts, hotels, spas and galleries, has appointed Stefan Buchs as vice president, Hotel Operations – Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA).

Based in London, Buchs is responsible for supervising all existing hotel operations and upcoming developments in EMEA as well as those in Seychelles and Mauritius. In addition, Buchs is in charge of developing the Group’s EMEA business through new opportunities.

He replaces Bernold O Schroeder.  In his new role, Buchs reports to Ho Kwon Ping, executive chairman, Banyan Tree Holdings.

“We are very pleased to have Stefan on board with us in this critical growth phase where we are on track to achieving a global presence,” said Ho Kwon Ping. “With his expertise in managing top-tier hospitality services, we are confident that he will be a key driver of Banyan Tree’s operations and business development in the EMEA region.”

Prior to joining Banyan Tree, Buchs was vice president, CHI Hotels & Resorts, a high-end hotel management company and the exclusive operator and developer for the luxury Corinthia brand. – TradeArabia News Service
