Royal Jet sees Saudi business up 15pc

Abu Dhabi-based Royal Jet said its business in the Saudi Arabia grew 15 per cent in 2010 due to the strong partnership with Arabasco.

Royal Jet, An international flight services company, said thanks to the commercial and operational alliance with Arabasco, a fixed based operations (FBO) and maintenance facility provider in the kingdom, the company operates at its key hubs in Jeddah and Riyadh.

And as the world's largest independent operator of Boeing Business Jets (BBJs) - which also happens to be the biggest executive jet available in the market - one of its luxurious BBJs is stationed in the Kingdom, said a top offficial.

'I am delighted to report that Royal Jet remains on an upward growth path while all the time remaining committed to introducing new initiatives which add value to our guests within the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia,' said Royal Jet's president and CEO, Shane O'Hare.

'Our agreement leverages our extensive, combined experience and expertise in luxury private jet travel, to address the Kingdom's regional and global executive travel needs,' O'Hare added.

In order to meet and better serve the demands of its fast-growing business in Saudi, Royal Jet has plans of add more aircraft into the market this year.

Arabasco offers a variety of aircraft maintenance, management and ground handling services to private, VIP and business jets in Saudi Arabia.

From its private terminals within the Kingdom, Arabasco and Royal Jet offer private jet charter for domestic and international travel from Saudi Arabia to cities like London, Moscow, Bangkok, as well as other business and leisure hubs in the region.

'The Saudi market is the single largest and most mature private jet market in the region and our commercial and operational alliance with Arabasco has reaped dividends. More importantly, it has enabled us to offer our full range of services from its key hubs in Jeddah, Riyadh, Medina and Yanbu,' O'Hare explained.
