DSC stadium features corporate lounges

Dubai, March 31, 2009

Dubai Sports City’s (DSC) new cricket stadium will offer luxurious corporate viewing lounges for up to 12 or 24 guests, according to a statement.

The ‘state-of-the-art’ corporate boxes will be available for the inaugural one-day international matches to be held between Pakistan and Australia in late April.

The new stadium’s corporate facilities will set a new standard for the corporate hospitality market in the UAE and will include luxury open air balcony seating, a spacious air conditioned viewing area with flat screen TV.

In addition to canapés, refreshments and a 5-star buffet dinner, patrons will also benefit from early access to the stadium and dedicated car parking.

“The opening of the Dubai Sports City Cricket Stadium is a historic moment, and watching from the corporate boxes will be a special experience,” said Malcolm Thorpe, director of marketing, sports business, DSC.

“The corporate boxes are on par with the best stadiums in the world, and there will be no better place to experience the thrill of the first international cricket in Dubai,” he added.

“Sales of the corporate hospitality boxes have just got under way and we are seeing great interest already. The quality of the facilities will give patrons not only a great view of the games but also a great environment for mixing business and pleasure.”

The DSC cricket stadium provides some of the best viewing anywhere in the world, said a statement.

The circular shaped ground allows a panoramic vista of the action with the ‘ring of fire’ lighting system creating a thrilling, yet imposing atmosphere to watch two of the best sides in the world.

Corporate and general tickets are already made available by DSC.

The DSC cricket stadium will be the first of four stadiums to be completed, with a 60,000 capacity multi-purpose stadium for football, track and field, and rugby; a field hockey stadium suitable for up to 5,000 spectators, and a 10,000 capacity indoor arena for a range of sports including basketball, indoor hockey, volleyball, handball, netball and ice hockey. – TradeArabia News Service
