Huawei Consumer Business Group has announced that it is going around major cities in Saudi Arabia showcasing its latest portfolio of products, which includes the new Huawei P20 Pro, Huawei MateBook X Pro, and the Huawei MediaPad M5 tablet.

Huawei kicked off the promotional tour on May 1, which will continue until May 26, and takes place in different venues in a number of major Saudi Arabian cities, like Riyadh at Panorama Mall, and Jeddah in Red Sea Mall, and the Eastern Region at Mall of Dhahran, said a statement from the company.

A five-day event concluded earlier this month in Jeddah at Al Andalus Mall, it said.

Huawei aims to have the promotional campaign as an introduction of the new P20 Pro and present it to the public on Huawei's mobile platforms, highlighting the revolutionary AI applications, the distinctive camera and its unique features, thanks to the HiSilicon Kirin 970 octa-core processor which helps to provide a more user-friendly experience in terms of intelligence, responsiveness and support for professional photography features, it added.

The 10-nanometer, octa-core processor is supported by dedicated neural processing unit (NPU) to deliver 25 times better performance, and 50 times more power efficiency, without compromising on performance over time, which comes in handy to support the top-notch features and capabilities of the AI supported camera.

The system has the highest total pixel count of any smartphone in the market currently. The main camera features a 40MP, 1/1.73″ RGB sensor behind a 27mm f/1.8 (35mm equiv.) lens. The secondary camera has a 20MP, 1/2.78″ monochrome sensor behind a 27mm f/1.6 (35mm equiv.) lens. And the telephoto camera has an 8MP, 1/4.4″ RGB sensor behind an 80mm f/2.4 (35mm equiv.) lens with optical image stabilization. The P20 Pro has great low light photography abilities, capturing photos with a sensitivity of up to ISO 102400.

With a goal of making professional-quality photography accessible to the masses, the P20 Pro uses a Master AI system that provides AI-driven photo features, including AI stabilisation and AI-assisted composition. The scene recognition identifies over 500 scenarios across 19 categories to automatically select camera setting for an optimal shot, said a statement.

In addition, visitors can familiarise themselves with many of the new features of the camera, which include master AI technology, professional AI photography features, and Huawei AIS technology, supported by AI for image stabilisation.

The company will also shed light on the new Matebook X Pro, a powerful and light notebook, featuring the world’s first computer FullView Display, as the new machine from Huawei features Microsoft's Windows 10 operating system, as well as the 8th Generation Intel Core i7 and i5 processors in addition to Nvidia's GeForce MX150 graphics chip.

All the hardware is powered by a strong 57.4-WHr battery that can run the machine for 14 solid hours of normal operation, 15 hours of internet surfing, or 12 hours of continuous 1080 video playback, it said.

Additionally, the company has also made it possible for gamers and movie viewers to experience the new Huawei Mediapad M5 tablet, which comes with user-friendly design, easy-to-carry curved metal chassis and eye-catching design, with a screen that supports 2K display resolution and 8.4 "or 10.8" which covers 82 per cent of the device front side area, for a whole new experience of watching video, playing games, or even surfing the web.

In addition to its sleek design, the tablet comes equipped with an immersive audio system that every facet captured perfectly, tuned by the renowned acoustic legend Harman Kardon Audio, the tablet delivers quality sound with more bass, and no distortion.

The Huawei Histen audio creates a perfect soundscape to give you 3D sound that is richer, more layered and penetrating. Huawei MediaPad M5 supports hi-res audio – an industry standard for sound quality.

The device offers two options of built-in storage capacities of 64GB/128GB internal with microSD expansion card slot, and 4 GB of RAM, as well as supporting LTE connectivity.

Huawei has offered the opportunity for a real, full live experience of the revolutionary technologies featured in its lineup of products, through the allocation of five different sections within its mobile platforms, showcasing in some of the major cities in the kingdom, which included: an area designated to showcasing the Huawei P20 Pro, Huawei MateBook X Pro and Huawei MediaPad M5; an area designated to AI testing on several objects and sights; an area designated to test slow motion photography; an area designated to test shooting fast-moving objects, explaining the camera capabilities; an area designated to testing Huawei's technology in the classroom and how students can benefit from it, it stated. – TradeArabia News Service
