Tom Ford unveils private eyewear collection in ME

DUBAI, July 6, 2017

Leading designer Tom Ford has launched a special edition of sunglasses and optical frames, designed specifically for the eyewear connoisseur (both men and women), across the Middle East region.

The Tom Ford Private Eyewear Collection featuring eleven styles commemorates his eleven years of making exceptional eyewear and are crafted using ultra-premium materials, said a statement from the leading eyewear brand.

Real buffalo horn is selected for its warm and luxurious finish and its natural pattern that gives each piece a unique quality. The highest-grade Japanese titanium is chosen for its ultra-light weight and sleek, progressive look.

All sunglasses feature special photochromic lenses that darken and lighten automatically, depending on the light conditions. Optical frames are also lightly tinted in green, blue, or brown, it stated.

"These are the frames that I personally wear and in some instances originally designed only for myself. This is truly my own private collection. In most cases these editions of my favourite frames have been produced in new elevated materials that are uncommon in most commercially produced frames," explained Ford.

A part of this exclusive collection, the five Private Collection features the Tom N.2, N.8, N.10, N.4 and N.6 models – Timeless with a suave-style level of sophistication, while the Six Private Collection Optical frames echo several of the sunglass styles, but with a slightly more subdued appeal, he added.

The Private Collection is available at Tom Ford boutiques and at major outlets across the Middle East in the price range of Dh2,580 to Dh3,700 ($702 to $1007).-TradeArabia News Service
