Doha Festival City awards security contract

DOHA, December 15, 2016

Doha Festival City, one of the largest leisure and retail developments in Qatar, has awarded a key services contract to Teyseer Security, a pioneer in the security industry in Qatar.

Doha Festival City, one of the largest leisure and retail developments in Qatar, has awarded the security services contract to Teyseer Security, ahead of its launch in February 2017.

A pioneer in the security industry in Qatar, Teyseer began its operations in 1994 in Ras Laffan Industrial City. Over the years it has evolved in full adherence to the legal framework regulating security activity in the country, as well as consistently meeting the highest stakeholders’ expectations.

As per the deal, Teyseer will take control of the 670,000-sq-m building. Prior to the opening, the security company will allocate 70 dedicated security professionals to the building, said a statement from the company.

The guard force will increase to over 100 upon the mall’s opening, it stated.

Trevor Hill, general manager, Doha Festival City Mall, said: “Our extensive consumer research has shown that one of the primary considerations for our visitors’ choice of shopping mall to visit, is for a safe and secure environment, which is just as relevant to their overall experience as the leisure, entertainment and retail offering.”

“Teyseer Security has been appointed due to the customer service-focused manner in which they operate, and by adopting a customised response to meeting our security needs,” he said.

Zaher El Khatib, business development manager, Teyseer Security, said: “Our company employs guards with exemplary backgrounds including the armed forces or civil defence, therefore, they are trustworthy, firm disciplinarians - dedicated to excellence and capable.”

“Our security staff will be well trained to create a risk-free environment, to carry out risk assessments in accordance to situations as they may arise and provide peace of mind to all visitors whilst they enjoy this new world-class destination,” he said.

“The over 100-strong guard force and team of dedicated supervisors and CCTV operators will include Arabic speakers and female guards to ensure that visitors to the mall will feel completely at ease,” he added. – TradeArabia News Services
