Nakheel collaborates with key Chinese retailers in Dubai
DUBAI, February 11, 2016
UAE-based developer Nakheel hosted a group of Dubai's largest Chinese traders to acknowledge their key role in Dragon Mart and explore ways to further collaborate at the retail and trading hub.
The event, led by chairman Ali Rashid Lootah, followed the official opening earlier this week of Dragon Mart 2, Nakheel’s 2.1 million-sq-ft extension to the original Dragon Mart complex, said a statement.
“Dragon Mart has gone from strength to strength since opening in 2004, thanks to the commitment and dedication of our retail partners. The opening of Dragon Mart 2 highlights the undisputed success of this vibrant business hub, which is now welcoming 120,000 people every day," said Lootah.
“Our Dragon Mart expansion continues as we embark on the creation of Dragon City: a sprawling mixed-use community with malls, hotels, homes and more," he said.
"Dragon City is already fully leased, highlighting the hunger among Chinese traders to be part of this exciting project.
