Sony unveils new products line up at CES

Sony Corporation is unveiling its new line up of products slated for release this year, at the 2016 International Consumer Electronics Show (CES) which begins today (January 6) in Las Vegas, Nevada (US).
At the recently held press conference, Sony's president and chief executive officer Kazuo Hirai, said: “From the choices we’re making to be differentiated and unique, to the curiosity that drives our passion to face challenges, to our commitment as enablers of creativity, it is clear that the philosophical and strategic pillars are in place to continue to build a stronger, better, more profitable Sony.
"Providing KANDO – the Japanese philosophy of 'the strong feeling you get when you are moved emotionally' – continues to be the core focus and goal of our business.”
Michael Fasulo, president and chief operating officer, Sony Electronics, took to the stage to introduce some of Sony’s upcoming products to be released within the year, across a wide range of categories.
It includes Sony’s 4K BRAVIA TVs that heavily emphasise picture quality and look; the firm's expanding range of audio products that offer different ways to enjoy music to fit unique tastes; its line of digital imaging products that enables to capture easy-to-miss moments in the great outdoors and preserve memories of life’s most important events; and products in the Life Space UX series that blend right into physical living spaces and redefine how entertainment is experienced.
The main products and prototypes showcase in the 4K Bravia category includes the X93D series, and ULTRA, a new app from Sony Pictures Home Entertainment that will help purchase and stream 4K HDR movies and TV shows from the 4K digital library of Sony Pictures - directly on the Sony Bravia TV.
The audio category will see the addition of three new products to the h.ear series - h.ear go, h.ear in Wireless and h.ear on Wireless NC. Sony is also adding to its popular lineup of Extra Bass (XB) products that deliver sound, with the MDR-XB650BT headphones, SRS-XB3 and SRS-XB2 wireless speakers, and GTK-XB7 high power audio system.
Meanwhile, the digital imaging category has been expanded to include the new FDR-AXP55 4K Handycam camcorder, which is equipped with a new 20x optical zoom ZEISS lens as well as a high-sensitivity image sensor with pixel size approximately 1.6 times greater than in the current 4K Handycam model; the FDR-AX53 which features Balanced Optical SteadyShot technology; the HDR-PJ675 HD Handycam; and HDR-AS50R Action Cam. - TradeArabia News Service
