Al Nassma camel chocolate brand enters India

UAE-based Al Nassma Chocolate, a premium camel milk chocolate brand, has opened its first point of sale in the Indian subcontinent at Kempegowda International Airport Bangalore in co-operation with Nuance, a unit of global travel retailer Dufry.

The entire chocolate collection from Al Nassma will be added to the high-end confectionery segment at Nuance-operated duty free outlets at the Bangalore airport with immediate effect.

Commenting on the launch, Patrick Dorais, the director of sales at Al Nassma Chocolate, said: "This development is a tremendous success for us as a local brand and it shows that since our company launch seven years ago we managed to establish ourselves as a reliable partner, offering an extraordinary addition to the confectionery segment in travel retail."

The advancement of  Al Nassma's collaboration with Dufry gives it the opportunity to further strengthen the brand internationally.

"It opens the doors to some of the most important airports in the world and having a solid fan base in India, we are excited to continue our company’s journey with Dufry in Bengaluru," stated Dorais.

With this new retail outlet the UAE-based exclusive and luxury chocolate brand reinforces its long-lasting collaboration with Dufry, which operates around 1,700 duty-free and duty-paid shops in airports, cruise lines, seaports, railway stations and central tourist areas.

“It has been our endeavor to provide a unique and exclusive shopping experience along with the best of brands from across the globe at our store. Al Nassma, the latest addition in the confectionery category is a testimonial to that," remarked Dimantha Kinigama, the country general manager of Nuance, India.

"I am sure Al Nassma’s collection will elevate the shopping experience of the travelers to the next level," he noted.

Kempegowda is ranked third busiest airport on the Indian subcontinent and passenger numbers and airport retail business are rapidly growing.
