Jacky's registers 30pc sales growth at Gitex Spring

Jacky’s Electronics, a leading multi-brand consumer electronics dealer in the UAE, has achieved 30 per cent sales growth at the recently concluded Gitex Shopper Spring in Dubai, UAE.
The retail company saw smartphones, notebooks, tablets, DSLRs and smart TVs as the top-sellers, as a result of premium bundle product offers during the four-day event, said a statement.
In the smartphones segment, Samsung Note Edge, Lenovo Vibe X2 and HTC One M9 led the sales, it said.
Meanwhile, Lenovo Flex and Yoga topped the sales followed by Dell 2 in 1, and HP notebooks in the laptop category.
Mahesh Chotrani, assistant vice president, said: “We are extremely satisfied with the response from our customers as we had registered record-breaking growth of 30 per cent from last year’s Gitex Shopper Spring edition.
“This exhibition has always been a substantial part of our sales and our store outlets also performed exceptionally well across the four days. Jacky’s participation in the Shopper Smart Living Section saw a very good response from the consumers.”

Meanwhile, the retail giant also witnessed an increased demand and sales in DSLR cameras and tablets. Premium brands like Nikon and Canon continued to be the bestsellers in DSLRs category, whereas, Apple iPads and Samsung tablets showed excellent performance in the tablet segment.
Jacky’s mega e-raffle draw of a dream vacation worth Dh25,000 also contributed to its success wherein four lucky customers won a once-in-a lifetime opportunity, giving the experience of traveling to their most desired dream destinations.
The company also received fantastic response to its first ever three-lane bowling sponsored by Dell and Funky Lanes and other contests and activities including the ‘Minute to Sell It’ and ‘Selfie Booth’ at the Lenovo stand.
Additionally, the dealer received top response at the Shopper Smart Living section registering great sales in the small domestic appliances as well personal grooming products.
