Canon to showcase high-end range at Cabsat
DUBAI, March 8, 2015
Canon Middle East will showcase the latest innovations in its EOS C and XF range as well as hands-on workshops host at the upcoming Cabsat in Dubai, UAE, the largest trade show in the Mena region for digital media.
Canon will launch EOS C100 Mark II, a digital HD camera for the short-film and documentary production community, at the 21st edition of Cabsat, running from March 10 to 12 Dubai World Trade Centre.
“The Mena market for media and broadcast is projected to be worth more than $2 billion by 2015, while it is estimated that penetration of satellite television into the 80 million households in the Mena region will shoot from 65 per cent to over 80 per cent by 2016,” said Hendrik Verbrugghe, marketing director, Canon Middle East.
“With the region poised for an audio-visual transformation, Canon is committed to serve as a facilitator of the revolution by showcasing and providing access to its innovative technology to some of the world’s leading content producers at Cabsat.”
Canon will offer attendees exclusive, hands-on experiences with the latest innovations in technology – spanning both the EOS and XF ranges. For the first time ever at CABSAT, Canon will facilitate the lending of the camera on a 24 hours loan basis for empowering attendees to have an extended, first-hand experience of using all the features of the camera.
Canon will demonstrate how its cameras and lenses are used by the new broadcast media as well as short film, documentary and mainstream movie makers to tell their stories innovatively and effectively. Visitors will be invited to take part in a V-log challenge and create a 15-second micro film.
Canon will also host workshops during Cabsat, and offer professional hints and tips to budding filmmakers on how to develop their filmmaking skills and maintain a distinct, creative story-telling style.
Besides its own products, Canon will also host a special demo area displaying third-party accessories including infrared illuminators that are used in surveillance systems. – TradeArabia News Service
