POY award features 45 categories in 2015

The Product of the Year Award (POY) for 2015, a prestigious award that rewards innovation in the FMCG sector, will have 45 categories, the highest number of categories POY has seen in the Middle East, said a top official.
“An award of this stature goes a long way to benefit the winning brand and keeps the spirit of competition alive among the top brands,” added Dory Kfoury, CEO – Middle East and Africa for Product of the Year.
POY has been working with over 100 multinationals and hundreds of local and regional companies and the world’s largest and oldest multinationals, including Unilever, L’Oreal, Beiersdorf, P&G, have been striving for the POY Award since 1988.
The winners of the POY award for 2015 will be honoured on February 25, a statement said.
The POY Awards have been empowering customers for three decades around the world, and since 2013 in the Middle East.
Product of the Year Gulf 2015 is the first-of-its-kind independent and prestigious award that recognizes excellence in innovation in the consumer goods sector and is the only one of its kind that is voted by consumers themselves.
The award accepts entries every year from consumer packaged goods that demonstrate innovation and were launched within the previous year. Entered products are then placed into specific categories such as food, beverages, personal care, household care, etc. with a product then being chosen as a winner in its category through a nationally representative face to face study across the GCC states.- TradeArabia News Service
