The world’s thinnest smartphone, the Oppo R5, measuring only 4.85mm thin, can be pre-ordered in the UAE from January 9.

It will available for pre-order at select Sharaf DG outlets across the country and can be pre-booked for Dh200 ($54) to receive it on January  31, said a statement.

The mobile will retail at Dh1,889, it said.

Oppo has introduced two smartphones that are both a first in their category, the N3, which features a motorised rotating camera and the R5, the world’s thinnest smartphone.

The positive reviews and feedback have set the pace for generating a great deal of interest in the devices globally, said the statement.

Powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 64-bit, octa-core processor and utilising a 5.2-inch AMOLED display, the R5 boasts outstanding performance as an ultra-thin smartphone.

Additionally, the R5 implements a 13-megapixel sensor with a Schneider-certified lens and is capable of taking 50-megapixel HD quality photographs thanks to Oppo’s customisable Pure Image 2.0+ technology. - TradeArabia News Service
